Chris Weaver studied Electrical Engineering at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton. After graduating in 2006, he began his professional career with RAK Engineering in Edmonton, Alberta where he learned the fundamentals of designing lighting, power, communication and fire alarm systems in commercial and institutional buildings. In 2011, Chris moved on to J+B Engineering in Calgary, Alberta where he gained extensive experience as an electrical engineer and project coordinator in the downstream oil and gas sector. During his time in Calgary, he also served as the Vice President of Public Relations for three years at Bow Valley Toastmasters. In late 2014, Chris returned to the Maritimes where he worked as a contractor, designing electrical systems for commercial and municipal buildings throughout New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

Chris began working at Emtech in August 2016 as a Senior Electrical Engineer, where he develops complete electrical drawing packages for residential, commercial and municipal buildings throughout the Maritimes. He also plays a role in business development and mentorship at Emtech. In addition to engineering, Chris is actively involved in art, music, fitness and public speaking.
